I hear and love you Mo. But no. Every toxic dictator from Hitler to Stalin to pol Pot had that same charisma. Pitting people against each other is not going to lead to the world of healing we need. Hating Israel. Hating billionaires. Hating this one or that one. No no no. It’s. It not enough to tap people’s angst as Trump did so well. There has to be substance and an honest ideology and a moral core. Please no. Not just tapping the pain. But honestly being able to build bridges of care and compassion.

I think this is exactly what Mo is advocating. He doesn't seem very big on hatred-as-a-valid-political-tool. Or on weaponising pain and angst.

But he wants to believe Mamdani is like him and not a divisive Third-worldist who is as radical as he can get away with.

A lot of "soft lefties" want to believe this.

It's not true.

" contempt with a comms team." Excellent. Of course it is. If I feel it, why wouldn't everybody else, unless they're part of the problem? I'm not that special. Thank you once again for articulating so clearly how I think. Dunno how you do it, but it works.
